ERIC GRIGSBY, MD, MBA
Dr. Eric Grigsby enjoys a national reputation for excellence in the field of Pain Management. He has a background as a researcher, teacher and clinician, and brings over 25 years of clinical experience to the Napa Pain Institute, and its sister practices The Spine and Pain Center of Kauai, and the new Redwood Pain Institute.
After graduating from Boston University Medical School in 1984, Dr. Grigsby trained in General Surgery, Anesthesiology, and Pain Management at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. He was then invited to join the Medical Staff and teach at the Mayo Medical School until moving to California in 1989. The Dean of the University of California at Davis Medical Center then invited Dr. Grigsby to establish their first Pain Management Center, where he served as Medical Director until 1992. Following his post at UC Davis, Dr. Grigsby established a small clinic that grew into the Napa Pain Institute of today. Now, he and his staff of over 25 professionals consult with patients from throughout Northern California and the western United States, and now Kauai and the Hawaiian Islands.
Dr. Grigsby speaks nationally on topics such as neuromodulation, the non-operative treatment of spinal disorders, the safe use of medications for treatment of pain, and the legal and regulatory issues relating to proper treatment of patients with chronic illness, among other topics. He also leads his own conferences on pain medicine, including the Napa Pain Conference and the Kauai Pain Conference.
JACQUELINE WEISBEIN, DO
Jacqueline Weisbein, DO is a graduate of Nova Southeastern University College of Osteopathic Medicine. She trained in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation at SUNY Downstate in Brooklyn and Interventional Pain Management at Virginia Commonwealth University.
Dr. Weisbein has been practicing since 2012 in Napa, CA. She recently became a Partner and the Medical Director of Napa Pain Institute. Dr. Weisbein’s practice includes specialized services in pain management including medication management, interventional injections, implantable devices and clinical research. She has a profound dedication to all aspects of pain management but has particular interests in neuropathic pain syndromes, spasticity, cancer related pain and implantable devices.
As an avid equestrian and skier, Dr. Weisbein understands the desire of her patients to maintain an active and pain-free lifestyle. She is eager to assist her patients with customized pain management and rehabilitation plans so they can have improved function and a greater quality of life.
